Beef quarters range from 170 pounds to 200 pounds (hanging weight). The hanging weight price for a quarter is $5.20 per pound, or an average total cost of between $624.00 and $936.00. The amount of meat that you will take home and put in your freezer will weigh between 100 pounds and 130 pounds per quarter.
We offer a discount on each quantity over one-quarter. One-half beef is $5.00 per pound (hanging weight), and a whole beef is $4.90 per pound (hanging weight). Valley Meat Service's processing fee of $.99 per pound and the $130.00 on-farm harvest fee are included in the above figures.
